Share

Sometimes a person looks at a card, pauses, and says, “How does this feel as though it is speaking about me?”
This does not mean the card knows your future or possesses supernatural judgment.
A more grounded explanation is that when you pause with a question, an image helps bring your attention back to yourself. The moment you feel “seen” may also be the moment you finally hear something you already know.
You bring your own question before the card appears
When someone decides to choose a card, they are rarely a blank page.
Perhaps you have just finished a difficult day, are hesitating over a choice, or feel tired without yet having the words for it.
During the brief process of shuffling, choosing, and turning over a card, attention gathers from the outside world into the present moment. The card does not know what happened, but you do.
When an image appears, you naturally look for the parts that connect with your own life. This is not deception; it is how people understand images and stories. We always bring memory, feeling, and experience into the act of looking.
An image does not close down its meaning
Whales, white horses, birds, astronauts, moons, and stars recur throughout Cosmic Echo. None of these images has only one interpretation.
In the same whale swimming into deep water, one person may see quiet, another loneliness, and another a difficult period they are trying to move through. The image does not decide for them. It leaves enough room for different experiences to surface.
A direct concept can make us judge immediately whether something is right or wrong. An image allows us to stay a little longer. Sometimes the important question is not “What does this symbolize?” but “Why is this particular detail drawing my attention now?”
The 60 cards touch themes many people experience
Belonging, boundaries, rest, movement, trust, creativity, and seeing oneself are not private to one person. They are experiences that return at different stages of life.
When the cards give these experiences an image and a sentence to pause with, a reader can find an entrance of their own. What feels “accurate” is not advance knowledge. It is the work touching a human theme that is both honest and widely shared.
A card is a mirror, not a judge
A mirror does not tell you who you should become. It lets you see the person standing before it now. An art card can work in the same way.
It cannot decide whether a relationship should end, guarantee that a choice is right, or predict the result of the future. It is also not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
What it can offer is a brief pause in which feelings that have not yet been spoken begin to take shape.
If a card seems to “speak directly to you,” there is no need to turn that feeling immediately into a mysterious answer. You might ask:
- Which detail in the image moved me?
- What part of my own experience did I bring into this picture?
- What do I truly want to acknowledge or express right now?
The voice you hear is still your own
I created these paintings to leave room for looking, not to define meaning for the viewer.
My work can be a mirror, but what appears in it comes from you.
The most important part of Cosmic Echo is not which card you chose. It is whether you are willing to stay with the image for a moment and listen honestly to your own associations.
It does not interpret you or direct you. It simply helps you notice that these feelings were already present, and that you already have the ability to name them.
